Hello everyone. My name is Hathima Mohamed and I work at IGMH as a nurse. Being in the health field for three years I have come to know and understand the disregard we have for one of our most important necessities. Nutrition. The sole purpose of my blog is to hopefully create awareness among everyone about importance of nutrition. As always, prevention is the best cure. And nutrition can help you provide that.
It is sad to see that young persons of age 20-25 are being diagnosed with kidney and liver failures. But this is the state of things. Makes you ask yourself why, doesn’t it? It is out of our carelessness. We don’t give our body the proper treatment and nourishment it needs. Everything from the water we drink to every bite we eat should be taken into consideration. A healthy life is not a privilege but a responsibility we owe to ourselves.
Hence, with the help of this blog, I wish to provide you with the necessary information as well as dietary plans and supplements. And, most importantly, if you have any questions regarding health and nutrition, please feel free to ask. As the blog name states, Ask Hathima =). Cheers.

Welcome to blogging ...
Great idea, hopefully your blog will provide very useful information on nutrition.
I have been in the health and fitness industry for over a decade yet I see very few people who initiate something like an information blog on their specialized areas.
Look forward to read the information you publish.
Good luck to you ...

Thank you for knowing me ;)
Hope you'll get to know me better.

Thank you and yes, I will do my best to bring about solutions and aid to our growing health risks.

As to your question, I would recommend neither. You are able to think for yourself. No matter what the situation is, nothing good comes out of hurting yourself. Only makes a bad situation worse. You need not look at it in a health perspective to understand that. Hope you will refrain from any such activities in the future. Do take care. =)

Thank you for your support. I too rarely come across who initiate a specialized blog. But now I certainly have met one. And I'm pleased that you are from a feild that is related to mine. I hope we can join our efforts in the future to bring about greater achievements. Cheers.
you got a nice blog Hathimaa. This is my fisrt visit to your blog
Kudos on your initiative.
Malnutrition is one of the areas we are lacking on our health stats; particular among the young.
Low birth weight rate is still very high compared to even neighboring countries. I think our diet by tradition is very poor, much of the pie chart goes to proteins and carbs, with little or no fruits or veggies. This is particularly true so in the islands, where F&V are a scarce resource.

looks like the reason u opened this blog aint working. so here goes. ive got a Q. "isnt it a bad thing that us maldivians eat fish like 4 times a day. there rarely goes a meal where we dont eat fish. morning, afternoon, evening hedhikaa and even at night. so is that a bad thing? does it lead to any problems health wise? and how often are we supposed to eat fish? how often are we supposed to eat meat(fish/chicken/beef)?"
